1. What is ‘Channeling’?

Channeling is a method used to receive information from a higher source/vibration/frequency usually identified as one’s higher self, the creator force and/or spirit entities. When one channels they are tapping into another level of consciousness or frequency. Throughout history it has been associated with psychics and mediums.

2. Am I supposed to see something specific in these images?

Every individual has their own frame of reference based upon past experiences and life history. Although the artist may focus upon one thought or impression, each viewer will have their own unique interpretation; discovering hidden images to which they may subconsciously relate.

3. How does this differ from Spirit Art that I frequently find on the internet?

Spirit Art is a category of artwork often found on New Age websites featuring paintings/cards/gifts of angels, ascended masters, animal totems, and other pre-conceived recognizable images. Channeled art, by its nature, is a random free flow of energy released through the hand; unspecific and undetermined at the start; allowed by the artist, stopping only when the energy in the hand dissipates. The final images are then discovered after the fact.

4. Is it possible to create a personalized image for someone?

Yes. Acrylic originals have been prepared with the intent of channeling information specific to an individual. It’s a fun exercise and encourages discussion between the artist and the person for whom the work is done. The acrylic is typically prepared on a surface that holds some form of energy imprint of the individual (written, drawn or thought). From the original picture, one or more images may be uncovered, encouraging the person to investigate their significance and meaning.
